Praise

Yesterday was a very eye opening day for me. How quickly things can happen, and can have totally opposite effects. After church we had lunch and then I put the kids down for a nap. I went to watch the cubs game in my room and fell asleep. I was awakened suddenly with a sense that someone was in our room, nobody was, but I had this feeling that I needed to check on the kids. Now, I could of went back to sleep after noticing that no one was in our room. But I didn't. I went to check on Addie and Ben. As I got closer to their room I could hear Ben crying. I opened the door to find that he had a guitar strap wrapped around his neck. Somehow the guitar twisted behind him and the strap wrapped tighly around his neck, he tried to get out of it by putting his arm through it only to make it tighter around his neck. It was hard to get him out of that, my heart was pounding. I brought him in my bed and rubbed his head until he fell asleep, thinking what I would do without him. To think that I could of went back to sleep and not checked on him. This could not of been an accident. The Holy Spirit woke me up. Praise God!!!!!!
***Addie was sleeping through it all, and Ben doesn't know how to open the door. The guitar was a toy but the strap was not removable, it has never been a problem. I cut the strap off now. Ben still has marks around his neck.
