excited for bowling
Awkward Boy and Girl
Rob and I are program directors for the last week of summer camp at LGYC. Although for the last couple of years I mostly watch my kids while he and a team lead. We were up there last week. It's located at a sister property which is right on the water. It was tons of fun. The theme was super heroes. Rob came up with a creative super hero called Captain Awkward. His costume was great. Our kids even dressed up as the awkward kids. They had a blast, they went bowling for the first time, swam lots, went on hikes, ate lots of stuff from the snack shop, loved the worship music time. My mom was there as my "nanny". She was a big help. The kids were out of their normal routine so they were crabby and hard to deal with at times. I went on the banana boats, it was fun but my body hurt for days afterward. The last day we went to a petting zoo. Addie pet a chicken and when she turned to walk away the chicken bit her calf. It broke skin and bruised right away. She screamed "That Chicken!" Later that day, at the playground Ben fell on the cement and scrapped his nose and forehead. So his face was not pretty. But other then that everything was great. We had a great week.

I love the Captain Awkward family - so cute! Looks like you had a great time! I miss you and your kids so much - they are so much fun!
LOVE IT!!! Abbie is getting so pretty! Her eyes are just gorgeous! I LOVE the pictures of your kids in the trees and that pic of Rob and Cam looks so cute! You HAVE to frame that one!
That captain awkward costume is fantastic!
I am thinking of a way that I can create a version of Capture the Flag that includes that persona in some way for CPBC.
Perhaps we can use Captain Awkward at VBS next year - and we can have a dress up day for all of VBS. I am glad it was fun despite all the little irritants.
